Tisch Summer Fellows Program Administrator - Tisch College of Civic Life - (19001959)
The Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life prepares tufts students to become active citizens and community leaders. As the only university-wide college of its kind, its mission is to engage tufts students in meaningful community building, public service experiences, and transformational learning. It conducts and supports groundbreaking research on civic and political participation and forges innovative community partnerships. The Tisch Summer Fellows (TSF) program offers internships in the public, nonprofit and private sectors that focus on the public good. TSF allows tufts students to gain real-world skills, grow their networks, and explore career paths while building stronger communities on a local, national, or international level. The program provides living stipends for all fellows so that meaningful, high-impact internships that are also learning experiences are accessible for all students regardless of socioeconomic status.
Provides specialized, subject matter knowledge to develop, implement, review and evaluate the TSF Program in collaboration with the Director. Participates in development of goals and strategies; creates data management and filing systems; develops, analyzes and monitors large scale annual budget, grants and contracts; and participates in development and facilitate info sessions, orientations, marketing and advertising efforts including writing content for website and social media material. May design and represent program externally at conferences, meetings and events. Will oversee recruitment and management of student's placements. May provide advice and counseling to students to help identify development goals, and design evaluation tools to measure outcomes. Coordinates hiring and training of staff, students and temporary help.
Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 3 years of related experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organization skills.
Experience in higher education.
Innovative, creative problem-solver able to manage multiple time-sensitive projects.
Strong interest in pathways to civic engagement and leadership for young people.
Experience working with groups of people representing diverse social identities and perspectives.
