GRANTS COMPLIANCE ANALYST
Harper College is currently seeking applications for the Grants Compliance Analyst position. The Grants Compliance Analyst assists with the compliance and administrative activities of federal and state grant programs and agencies. The successful candidate will interpret and communicate policies and procedures within area of grant compliance. This includes interpreting sponsor and funder requirements, guidelines, policies and/or practices for grantees as well as serving as a central resource for federal regulations and requirements governing grants. You will conduct monthly monitoring meetings with project directors to review fiscal and performance activities and provide information to project directors for corrective action when needed. You will also maintain compliance tracking metrics and database for all active grants and proposals, including tracking compliance with grant reporting requirements, as well as monitoring grant periods and spending trends and projections.
Bachelor's degree is required, advanced degree preferred
At least three years’ experience in grant/contract administration, regulatory compliance, and grant proposal writing, including technical and budget proposal development.
Strong analytical and research skills needed to gather and analyze data and to interpret and explain College policies and procedures, grant processes, and funder requirements.
High-level organizational skills and detail oriented, including prioritization of duties, time management, resource management, ability to meet deadlines, and effectively handle multiple projects concurrently.
Advanced computer skills, including ability to gather and manipulate data and experience with a variety of software programs, including Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Ability to interact professionally and thoughtfully with a diverse group of individuals at all levels of an organization from all levels of education, cultural backgrounds, and life experiences.
Ability to supervise, train, and develop student employees.
