OBJECTIVE/OVERVIEW: CUHCC’s mission is to seek health equity in our community by advancing the well-being of diverse people. This position will focus on communications, development, and quality and grants project management.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer but will work closely with the CEO, Clinical Directors, the Quality Team, IT, and others as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Communications (50%)
Meet with various departmental and unit directors to gather information, and write internal communication pieces including the weekly CUHCC HUB/Internet Mail and the externally focused CUHCC Connection.
Develop and write grant applications to various funders to include working with internal staff members to determine the program plan, evaluation strategies, and budget. Submit the applications to SPA or via the University of Minnesota Foundation.
Update and maintain content for the CUHCC website and internet site.
Maintain an updated provider roster with photos and bios for the internet and the lobby T.V.
Prepare presentations for the CEO and clinical directors as needed.
Work with various departments to update content for brochures and other marketing pieces. Work with the graphic designer and printing services to design the products and see them through printing.
Ability to understand and maintain high level of professional confidentiality on all the information and materials this position has access to.
Maintain CUHCC’s Facebook page, Twitter account, and Google ads.
Quality/Project Management (30%)
Staff various grant and contract workgroups and manage the financial and administrative aspects for those grants and contracts. Correspond with funders to provide reports and updates on the respective grants and contracts.
Analyze various data sets (quality indicators, financial information) with Excel or other software. Develop graphs and other ways to explain trends and data. Make recommendations to the Quality Committee and/or Leadership Team about strategies to address trends.
Oversee the patient survey process at CUHCC. Ensure that surveys are administered in a scientific matter and that enough surveys are completed to meet the statistical minimums for each area. Compile the data and submit to the Midwest Clinicians Network for analysis.
Schedule and prepare for clinic tours and site visits.
Manage various improvement projects by working with staff committees on PDSA (plan, do, study, act) or LEAN processes.
General Administrative (20%)
Serve as the staff liaison to the board of directors and the patient advisory team – schedule meetings, order food, maintain meeting minutes and prepare materials for sensitive board and board committee meetings.
Assist the CEO with scheduling and meeting preparation.
Assist with various human resources tasks.
Prepare P-card and PO forms.

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, Public Health or similar; or a combination of education and experience to total four years.
Experience in an administrative role.
Excellent customer service skills.
High level written and oral communication skills.
Competence in working effectively with diverse staff and patients.
Capacity to work on multi-disciplinary teams.
High level expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience in fundraising, marketing, and communications
