Residency Special Features: Our PGY1 Pharmacy Residency gives experience in a broad area of pharmacy practice, including internal medicine, critical care, oncology, cardiology, psychiatric care, emergency medicine, infectious disease (ASP), pediatrics/neonatology, drug information, informatics, and administration. Pharmacy residents have the unique opportunity to work closely with the medical residents and faculty of Kootenai Health's Family Medicine Residency. Residents present formal lectures, inservices, and prepare a major project. The resident serves as preceptor for pharmacy students during some rotations. Teaching opportunities are available at Washington State University and Idaho State University.
