Responsible for complex professional internal auditing work in order to add value and improve operations. Manages and coordinates activities of auditors conducting independent protective and constructive audits to review effectiveness of controls, financial records, and operations. Works independently under general supervision and approval of the Chief Audit Officer with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
Requires ability to speak and write in a clear and understandable manner for internal/external relations.
Maintains a very high level of confidentiality.
Understand complex verbal or written instructions; proficient knowledge of professional audit standards as outlined by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Proficient knowledge in collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; knowledge of COSO and risk assessment practices; knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Knowledge acquired through a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in internal auditing, including progressive experience in developing / maintaining detailed audit programs.
Master's degree preferred.
Certified Internal Auditor required.
Certified Public Accountant preferred.
