Greenheart Exchange’s Teach USA program connects enthusiastic and highly qualified international teachers with U.S. K-12 host schools to promote cultural understanding and public diplomacy. Our primary goal is to facilitate an exceptional professional exchange program for teachers from all around the world to share their knowledge and experience in the U.S.
What we’re looking for:
The ideal candidate has an interest in education and cultural exchange. They have strong written and verbal communication skills and thrive in start-up work environments that require flexibility, collaboration and comfort with technology. This person will be expected to wear many hats and provide general administrative support across the department as needed.
Some things you might do as the Teach USA Program Assistant:
Assist the School Relations team with the recruitment of new host schools
Serve as the main contact for host schools
Coordinate the host school approval and placement process
Manage host school records in Salesforce, such as host school leads, school applications, job postings, and job interviews
Assist with administrative tasks related to coordinating conference logistics, conducting participant interviews as needed, producing reports, promoting cultural exchange initiatives facilitated by Greenheart, answering the Greenheart International and Teach USA telephone lines
Communicate pertinent program information with Greenheart’s field staff as needed
Work with other Greenheart departments to support the recruitment of Greenheart Schools
Attend departmental meetings
Other duties as assigned
Some qualifications you should have:
Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
Creative and outside-of-the-box thinking; self-motivated and responsible
Willingness to work on a single task such as application review, job offer entry, or participant interviews for an entire workday or for consecutive work days in a row
Ability to shift gears at a moment’s notice and be flexible; ability to change priorities
Exceptional ability to multi-task, pay attention to details, and work in a fast-paced environment with an open floor plan
Ability to interact with people of all ages, nationalities, ethnicities and backgrounds
A great deal of tact and diplomacy, and the ability to resolve conflict
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
A genuine desire to contribute to an organization that promotes cultural exchange and environmental consciousness
