California Outdoor Recreation Partnership (CORP) is seeking to hire a contract Membership Coordinator to spearhead our membership and advocacy communications strategy in California. Our mission is to power a voice for the outdoor recreation industry to shape policy, support investments, and engage an inclusive community of outdoor participants in California around the benefits of outdoor recreation.
Maintain membership records, processing new member applications, and membership.
Develop and implement strategies to recruit new members.
Coordinate with the accounting department to track membership revenue.
Assist in organizing CORP events – webinars, advocacy days, and other activities for members.
Develop and implement a communication strategy that includes media outreach such as MailChimp, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
Create and send timely marketing materials including press release, monthly newsletters, and updates to policies that CORP is tracking.
Create and manage internal communications (memos, newsletters) to other staff, board, partners.
Provide updates to the Board of Directors regarding activities and progress towards goals.
Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks is fundamental to success in this position.
Requires initiative, strategic thinking and sound judgment.
Experience in Word Press website platform.
Outstanding organizational and planning abilities
Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.
Outdoor Recreation Industry experience a plus.
Must reside in California.
Telecommuting is allowed.
