The Development Intern is responsible for supporting all development initiatives with a special focus on fundraising projects and events that support Atlanta International School’s annual giving priorities.
Supports and advances the mission and vision and strategic plan of the school
Supports student learning and achievement through cooperative effort and best practices
Supports and promotes the 3K-12 curriculum based upon the IB goals and mission
Supports and advances the international education research and successful practice
Reports to: Head of Development
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with prospect research, solicitation preparation and follow-up for Think Forward Capital Campaign
Maintain and manage donor signage as approved by donors
Assist with planning for public phase of campaign
Assist Special Events Manager with all events providing additional support for the Spring Benefit, with duties to include:
solicitation of event sponsorship
solicitation of silent and live auction items
promotion of event ticket sales
Assist in writing of volunteer/community newsletter
Support all planning/ logistics in a confident and thoughtful manner prior to and on the day of the Spring Benefit
Play an active role in AIS’s signature events as needed to include supporting volunteer engagement, event logistics, and attend and participate as needed to meet the staffing demands during these events
Assist with correspondence and management of all Eagle’s Fund volunteers regarding Eagle’s Fund gifts/pledges

Strong professional competence and credibility in representing AIS to support a confidence and trust, internally and externally
Proven track record of organizing, managing multiple projects and working collaboratively
Keen awareness of and appreciation for flexibility in dealing with colleagues and volunteers
Working knowledge of fundraising ‘best practices’ and nonprofit management
Availability to work evenings and weekends
