The Manager of Marketing and Communications will develop integrated marketing and communication strategies and tactics, key messages, leading and managing projects, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Additionally, serving as a team member for internal clients, the Manager of Marketing and Communications will create content for multiple channels (collateral, print, web, social) and coordinate Public Relations, conducting interviews and research as needed. He/she will also develop news, media relations, and thought leadership programs to enhance the public profile and reputation of RWJBarnabas Health Institute for Prevention and Recovery and is responsible for interacting with colleagues in all levels of the organization.
Four-year college degree with a major in communications, journalism or English.
A minimum of 5 years or equivalent of all around marketing and communications experience, preferably in the health care field with behavioral health, nonprofit and events management experience a plus.
Requires excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, written and verbal communications skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of Constant Contact preferred.
A demonstrated knowledge of social media required.
