Supervise the overall activities of the wire transfer department. Serve our clients while maintaining an impeccable work ethic and a positive attitude. Monitor and manage all functions related to the daily wire transfer operations. Assist with all aspects of project development and implementation.
Responsibilities, Duties, and Accountabilities:
Oversee the daily end-to end processing of wire transfer transactions.
Assist with the input and or verification of incoming and outgoing wires, as needed.
Continuously monitor wire queues and dynamically assign work based on volume.
Coach, train, and mentor staff.
Monitor key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of the wire transfer processing.
Continuously evaluate and recommend process improvements.
Manage the performance of the team and deliver annual performance reviews.
Collaborate with the wire transfer manager to reinforce departmental training, ensure redundancy, and foster an environment of open communication between management and staff.
Respond to complex inquiries and requests from internal and external clients.
Contribute to strategic projects involving wire transfer.
Develop and maintain operational procedures.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
5 years of banking experience within an Operational function.
Must be able to perform in a high volume environment under strict deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to all levels of responsibility.
Previous supervisory experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft office.
Previous experience automated funds transfer systems and core banking application a plus.
Experience with SWIFT and foreign currency transactions a plus.
