WRITER AND EDITOR , Sloan School of Management-Office of External Relations (OER) , to write content to be used for direct marketing, electronic newsletters, print publications, annual reports, social media, event marketing, and other publications. Will partner with OER to define strategies, develop concepts, and write compelling copy which maximizes engagement and philanthropic investment in MIT Sloan and work on multiple projects across several disciplines at the same time; write informational, analytical, and interpretive content for articles, briefings, talking points, and other written material using subject matter expertise related to Sloan news, alumni, and faculty; write for fund-raising and stewardship activities, including appeals and stories about gifts and serve as the lead for writing and editing direct mail solicitations; and write copy for events such as brochures, emails, and post-event engagement.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : bachelor's degree in communications, English, journalism, or related field; at least three years of writing and editing experience in a professional setting, preferably in a university or nonprofit setting. Seek an experienced writer and editor who can work on deadline in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects. Must be detail-oriented, highly analytical, demonstrate initiative, possess strong networking skills, and have the ability to build and maintain relationships across the Institute. Job #17925-7
