The Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, located in Indianapolis, Indiana, seeks a colleague to join our external relations team. This position is a valued member of The Fundraising School and part of the External Relations team. The position is a full time benefits eligible position.
The Fund Raising School's Manager of Training Programs manages and coordinates the details and logistics of the school's public courses and custom training programs. The Manager of Training Programs will recommend sites for public courses and negotiate contracts with vendors. They will also negotiate contracts with local, regional, national, and international clients for customized courses/programs. Prepares reports and manages the post course evaluations and closing process for all public and custom training programs. This position also oversees the production of training materials and manages the site logistics and materials for in-person and online courses.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Collaborate with the Associate Directors in recommending sites for public courses and then negotiating contracts with approved locations.
Manage the process for preparing and shipping all training materials to public course and custom training sites.
Provide oversight to The Fund Raising School's printing vendor and other vendors to ensure quality, timely production and availability of training materials.
Collaborate with the Associate Director of Custom Training in finalizing custom training agreements.
Work with the Associate Director of Custom Training in management of marketing and public relations for The Fund Raising School.
Manage the post-course evaluation process for public courses and custom training.
Innovation, fundraising, and other duties as assigned in support of the overall mission of The Fund Raising School.
Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in customer relations/service and/or project management.
Excellent interpersonal skills. Problem-solving ability, flexibility, and time management. Ability and willingness to take initiative and work alone when needed. Ability to work cooperatively with others. Ability to work in stressful situations. Computer skills and proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Database experience. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information.
Master’s degree in nonprofit management, philanthropic studies, communications/public relations, or related discipline. Knowledge of Raiser's Edge and Survey Monkey. Knowledge of and ability to work with InDesign.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without a reasonable accommodation. Moving materials and boxes of up to 25-30 pounds may be required. Remaining in a stationary position for long periods of time at a computer.
