The Professional Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating live conference education and speakers, processing requests for registration and other programs, and supporting membership activities.
Examples of Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate live conference education and speakers and the registration process for the TSHP Annual Seminar and specialty conferences.
Coordinate logistics for the Alcalde Southwest Regional Leadership Conference.
Perform administrative and daily operational tasks related to the administration of practice-based ACPE-accredited and joint providership activities.
Serve as the primary staff administrator for the research poster program.
Process all member updates and dues notices.
Serve as the “first responder” to member and other individual inquiries and requests.
Complete miscellaneous administrative tasks such as file maintenance and assisting with correspondence and mailings.
Work collaboratively within TSHP to explore new opportunities.
Serve as staff liaison to assigned Councils, Committees, Sections, and/or Task Forces.
Attend meetings and conference calls, prepare agendas and meeting minutes, and coordinate activities.
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
One or more years of experience in meetings and educational program development and implementation.
Association experience a plus.
Demonstration of Skills and Abilities
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to function in a collaborative and collegial environment.
