Texas Healthcare Trustees is a statewide association whose members are Texas hospitals and health systems and the 3,000 board members who govern those organizations. THT believes a knowledgeable board member means enhanced leadership. As an organization we work to provide top-tier education, resources and leadership development opportunities to trustees.
This position will implement trustee education and governance activities to increase member participation in THT resources and programs. This role coordinates THT member education programs and publications, member outreach and will perform some meeting planning for the THT board as well as member hospital workshops and programs.
Coordinates THT online education and member engagement programs in conjunction with internal and external stakeholder groups including, but not limited to, THT webinars, onsite member hospital workshops & meetings and membership dues outreach projects. Experience with content development and identifying subject matter experts for a specific audience in collaboration with other teams is desired.
Administers THT Trustee Certification program, Online Board Self Assessment and THT Awards program interacting with members via phone and email and building relationships with key influencers.
Acts as THT’s internal hub for managing communication programs designed to keep internal and external parties informed of THT’s programs and services including writing, production and distribution coordination through a variety of platforms – website, printed materials, electronic communication and social media.
Coordinates activities and meetings with THT Board, Committees and hospital members to include; attending meetings when required; providing on-site assistance and arranging catering and logistics; coordinating and preparing materials and post event invoices and follow-up actions for approval.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or knowledge required is normally equivalent to the attainment of or equivalent of 5-7 years’ work experience with associations or other non-profit entities highly preferred.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must demonstrate effective use of project planning, management, communication, public relations, leadership, organizational and people skills. Working knowledge in meeting planning and negotiating contracts within the hospitality industry preferred.
Must be mature and have a respected demeanor, inspiring confidence and trust in members, staff, and outside organizations.
Excellent demonstrated application knowledge of the latest version of Microsoft Office Professional Suite and working knowledge of graphic design principles on Adobe Creative Suite is strongly preferred.
Ability to travel 20% of the time with occasional overnight stays.
