Position Summary: This position manages the membership department at an exciting time of growth. Membership is the heart of WTS, and this position, reporting to the Director for day to day responsibilities, and with a dotted line to the Executive Director, will focus on membership retention, renewal and recruitment. This is an exciting time to join WTS in the Membership department, as we are going through a membership database migration, where we are implementing new software and procedures. The Manager will be a key employee during the migration and following the database migration will manage the membership arm of the organization with oversight from the Director. The Manager will maintain our current membership while also working to recruit new members with assistance from the Director and Chapter Membership Chairs. The Manager will focus their efforts on maintaining and growing membership while finding efficiencies and improving our effectiveness in membership processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Process new memberships
Manage and Process monthly membership renewals
Analyze and provide insights on member retention
Work to increase membership retention rate
With assistance from Engagement Specialist, track and analyze membership engagement and renewal trends
Assist in developing a comprehensive benefits package for member at all levels
Develop a variety of digital assets and trainings on best practices in member retention
Work with Director to develop and target growth of specific membership audiences
Keep membership records up to date and accurate
Provide member retention strategies to Chapter Leaders
Working with Director, provide membership reports to Chapter Leaders
Assist in chapter rebate process and tracking
Assist in keeping chapter records
Help maintain chapter databases
Assist in tracking chapter outreach and engagement
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree with an excellent work record. Should have 2-3 year(s) experience in a membership position at a nonprofit or association. Experience working within membership databases required. A team player that understands the culture of collaboration. This person also has a strong attention to detail and is meticulous in data-entry tasks.
