The Manager, Leadership Annual Giving serves on the Annual Giving team as part of the Philanthropy department and reports to the Director, Leadership Annual Giving. The Manager, Leadership Annual Giving will be responsible for ensuring continuity and strategic vision across all Fred Hutch donor giving clubs; Innovators Network (young professionals giving $1,000+ annually); Cure Starters Circle (donors giving $2,500+); and Presidents Circle (donors giving $10,000+). Some travel, weekend and evening work may be required.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Strategize with the Director, Leadership Annual Giving to increase participation in all Fred Hutch giving clubs
Understand and articulate core program KPIs and effectively use Philanthropy systems to aggressively monitor year over year trends and impact on performance
Serve as the staff manager/partner to the Innovators Network volunteer council, providing leadership, support, materials, and reports that help the group successfully recruit and engage Innovators Network members. Maintain a diverse and dynamic council that represents the membership. Solicit philanthropic gifts from council members.
Co-facilitate broad base print and digital solicitations/marketing materials for all gift clubs
Partner with Donor Engagement team to ensure effective cultivation and stewardship strategies are in place for members of all gift clubs
Drive audience development for events produced for members of gift clubs
Document donor interactions in RENXT database to support relationship management and upgrade potential
Work collaboratively across all Philanthropy programs to ensure solicitation strategies are donor-centric
Persuasively articulate the mission and goals of Fred Hutch, translate complex science and research priorities to inspire philanthropy
Participate in a robust schedule of events and represent Fred Hutch in the community
Summary of Experience
A Bachelors degree is required
A minimum of five years experience working in nonprofit fundraising is required
2-3 years' experience with volunteer management, gift club strategy or frontline fundraising of individual donors is required
Project management experience desired
