The Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University is a professional school with 140 full-time faculty serving more than 4,000 students on two campuses in Bloomington and Indianapolis. The Assistant Director of On-Campus Recruitment (OCR) will strategically maintain and develop effective relationships with employers by coordinating recruiting programs and activities as the primary liaison between the Career Hub and recruitment organizations. This position will be responsible for all matters related to on-campus employer visits, including scheduling interviews, interview sign-up systems, credentials preparation and distribution to prospective employers, and maintenance of the automated systems required for these and other activities. These efforts will initiate, expand, and mature relationships with members of the employer community to provide students with opportunities to develop professional skills, integrate academic learning with work, and find internships and full-time employment.
This Assistant Director of OCR will also contribute to the career readiness of students by enhancing their job search skills and capacity to express the relevance of their strengths to employers by collecting recruitment insights through employer assessments and contributing those insights to program, resources, and curriculum development.
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in education, student personnel, or other relevant area and two years of professional experience.

Possess excellent customer service, interpersonal, group presentation and written communication skills. Able to relate effectively to the needs of a diverse college student population. Proven background in collaborating with higher education faculty on projects. Proven ability to multi-task and manage projects with excellent time management skills.

Ability to collaborate with faculty and staff in various offices throughout the school to create opportunities, form committees, and collect information as needed. Ability to work effectively in an online environment, including website updates.
Two years of student services experience. Experience with college recruiting from a higher education or a business perspective.
Experience with marketing, negotiation, and strategic planning. Familiarity/experience with integrating technology into relationship building and documenting effort.
