Franklin College seeks to fill the Director of Development Information and Analytics position. This is a full-time, salaried position reporting to the Vice President for Development and Alumni Engagement. This position is responsible for working collaboratively with other members of the Development & Alumni Engagement (DAE) staff and will help foster data-driven insight to advance the College’s efforts to fundraise from its various constituencies. Located approximately 30 minutes from culturally rich downtown Indianapolis, Franklin College is a private, four-year liberal arts and sciences college.
The Director of Development Information and Analytics will direct and maintain an accurate fundraising database and oversee the day-to-day operations and processes related to gift administration. The Director will use predictive models, data mining, and other advanced techniques to support business strategy and use data to aid business decisions supporting fundraising goals and resource development. The Director will also ensure compliance with governmental regulations and reporting standards for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) standards and Voluntary Support of Education (VSE). Will supervise the work of the Assistant Director of Gift Administration and Database Management and provide guidance on systems work for all DAE staff.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and five years of experience in a nonprofit or higher education environment working in or with development, preferably in management of working with database systems and processes. Will have knowledge or experience with the use of data analytics tools to inform fundraising, stewardship and donor communications. Must be proficient in various computer and software programs; Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. Experience with relational database software programs, Raiser’s Edge NXT and SQL desired. Familiarity with CASE guidelines. Project leadership and process improvement skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to perform in a fast-moving environment. High energy level and enthusiasm.
