NAIS is moving to a Salesforce-based Association Management System by Fonteva with the goal migration date of August 2019. This new role will be primarily responsible for maximizing the value from the Salesforce platform and integrations as well as establishing Salesforce as the platform of record for our schools and users.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Serve as the system administrator for the Salesforce.com environment with about fifty staff users and 80,000 contacts/users
Customize and configure NAIS’ Salesforce installation, make necessary modifications, lead new integrations and maintain current integrations
Organize and maintain organizational reporting and dashboards in Salesforce, ensuring accuracy and completeness and internal consistency
Assist users in developing their own reports
Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for and manage Fonteva system upgrades, stay current on Salesforce trends, progress and best practices
Maintain security protocols, user permissions, workflows, notifications and business process automations
Manage Salesforce.com data feeds and other integrations
Administer, maintain and optimize Salesforce platform-connected apps and tools, including Campaign Monitor, Conga, and Jitterbit
Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests, along with mapping its goal and impact
Create processes and protocols for NAIS to authenticate, validate and scrub the data using Salesforce best practices
Work with our institutional management team to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities
Diagnose and correct system issues, either independently or with technical support from software providers and outside consultants as needed
Liaise between our staff users and internal and external engineering teams for the Salesforce project
Provide training and day-to-day user support, and assist staff in building strategy for their Salesforce work
Work with user groups to continually improve their skills and the effectiveness and efficiency of their processes in the system.
The Ideal Candidate Will have the Following Background:
Minimum two years of experience with Salesforce.com
Experience leading configuration and customization of Salesforce
Saleforce.com Admin certified preferred
Experience in a technical or engineering capacity preferred
Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption
Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom Lightning apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content
Experience on a team building custom software
Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality
Strong data management and validation abilities
A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion
A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements
Experience with nonprofit processes preferred
Experience working in a scrum or agile environment preferred
Ability to set and hold teams and individuals to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority
Experience leading cross-functional projects
