Assist in the receiving, handling, and disbursement of all funds of the Agency.
Make bank deposits as directed by the Chief Financial Officer
Code and post cash receipts into the general ledger after bank deposit is made.
Prepare billing for various funding agencies on a monthly basis.
Input payables and process all checks for payables as needed and maintain accounts payable ledger.
Perform bi-weekly time card audit of hours worked
Input data into PayChex payroll system
Maintain an adequate filing system to facilitate storage and retrieval of business documents
Maintains time cards and other personnel records that pertain to payroll and financial affairs
Produces financial reports required by contractual and grant-in-aid agreements with state agencies.
Assists with independent audit by certified public accountants to be conducted annually to satisfy state agency requirements and the needs of the Agency, and assists with the preparation of all necessary reports to reduce audit expense.
Assumes the duties of the Chief Financial Officer in his/her absence.
Maintain confidentiality of client and agency information.
Assist GACS administration in any investigation against conduct that is illegal.
Minimum of Associates degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred, and five years’ experience in a nonprofit business environment.
Excellent math skills and ability to work with details.
Excellent computer literacy in spreadsheet, word processing, and data base packages.
Good verbal and written communications skills.
No physical or mental impairments which would prevent, or render impossible, the performance of the duties of this position.
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
Ability to work flexible hours.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential materials.
Demonstrates sensitivity to the cultural and socio economic characteristics of persons served.
