Administrative Coordinator - The Office of Development and Alumni Relations, Dental - (19001407)
The Office of Development and Alumni Relations serves the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) by maximizing resources from alumni and friends in support of the school's academic, clinical, scientific and service priorities.
Our office is looking for an Administrative Coordinator to join the Office of Development and Alumni Relations in Boston. In this role you will support the Sr. Director of Development and Alumni Relations, providing advanced administrative support and communications for the department. This role will handle complex and confidential situations and requests and serve in a highly visible capacity as a resource for department. You will oversee daily operation of office, evaluating workflow and productivity and providing direction and guidance to office staff. The Administrative Coordinator will draft reports and other complex documents and materials, including proofreading and editing, designing layout and graphics for briefings and presentations. You will coordinate the department budget, tracking expenditures, troubleshooting problems and preparing reports. This role will plan and coordinate meetings and special events.
Typically, a high school diploma/GED and 5+ years of administrative experience OR a bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience.
Requires advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including word processing, editing and graphics functions, spreadsheet and database knowledge.
In addition, bookkeeping or basic accounting knowledge and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Experience in higher education or another nonprofit setting.
Must be responsive and service oriented to internal (Faculty, Administrators, Staff, etc.) as well as external constituents (alumni, donors, etc.).
Familiarity with Access and Advance (or comparable donor and information management system) is highly desirable.
An aptitude for and commitment to learning new systems and applications is preferred.
Must be proactive, articulate, personable, well-organized, service-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects concurrently.
Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
