Unit-specific Responsibilities 1) Oversee program(s) to steward and engage donors across the University and at all giving levels. 2) Create and execute stewardship plans in partnership with ARD and University leadership. 3) Engage with donors remotely and at visits, meetings, and events. 4) Serve as representative and voice of donor, participating in the planning and execution of events and experiences that are donor-centric, strategic, advance overall fundraising goals, and are consistent and coordinated across the University. 5) Develop and manage communications plans for donor stewardship and engagement. 6) Act as a key partner and strategist for naming opportunities and donor recognition events such as building dedications. 7) Educate and train colleagues on policies and best practices through a variety of communication tools and vehicles including written information, meetings, presentations, and staff training. 8) Manage staff including hiring, assignment of work, mentoring, promoting professional growth, and evaluating performance. 9) Seek opportunities for professional development that will enhance job performance, including building networks within the University and with colleagues at peer institutions.

Working Conditions Work Setting 1) Willingness and ability to travel to campus and/or non-campus locations for University business. 2) Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications Experience 1) Professional experience in nonprofit management, donor relations, development, alumni relations, marketing, public relations, sales or similar professional work experience. 2) Experience leading a project team or managing staff. 3) Experience developing and monitoring budgets.
