PROGRAM MANAGER, CENTER FOR EXCELLENCE IN ENERGY (COE) , Mechanical Engineering , to support the overall management of the COE and in so doing achieve its strategic program objectives. Will be responsible for coordinating all program deliverables and ongoing efforts to launch a research program, coordinate the research effort, and supervise the timely completion of all project deliverables; serve as the key liaison between USAID, other university partners, and the project team; lead in engaging students in research efforts; supervise the dissemination of research efforts; represent the COE at conferences and events both within the U.S. and in other countries; establish and maintain good relationships with strategic, like-minded partners in multilateral agencies, nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations, and private industry; work with a communications officer to ensure effective communication and engagement strategies; and supervise the work of contractors in creating a vibrant website for the program.
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; a minimum of four years' administration/operations and/or project/program management experience; experience managing technical issues related to research administration; excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills for managing multidepartment sponsored research efforts; ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced research university; strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly the ability to write clearly and succinctly; and experience interacting with culturally diverse academic leaders, students, and research sponsors.
