George School, a Quaker boarding/day grades 9-12 college preparatory school located in Newtown, Bucks County, PA has an opening for a Leadership Gifts Officer.
Job Summary: The Leadership Gifts Officer’s work increases George School’s fundraising capacity through the successful cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of a pool of prospective donors with the capacity to make capital gifts in the range of $25,000 and up. The Leadership Gifts Officer works closely with campaign committees and other volunteers. The successful candidate will be an individual with a strong development background, preferably in a campaign setting, who has had successful experience both soliciting and closing major gifts and who is able to travel extensively.
Two or more years of successful major gift fundraising, preferably in nonprofit or independent school education.
Demonstrated ability to lead, take initiative, and work collaboratively as a member of a team.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Demonstrated success in achieving fundraising goals and a successful track record of cultivating, soliciting, and securing major gifts.
Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and familiarity with database functionality and social media.
