Position: The Rudolf Steiner School seeks a colleague to join the humanities department who brings experience and enthusiasm for teaching courses in social studies, current events and history. The core of this position includes teaching history main lessons, year-long social studies and current events classes and related electives in grades 9-12.
Strong candidates will possess a degree in the humanities and will have high school teaching experience, ideally in a Waldorf school. As a member of the Upper School faculty, the humanities teacher will work collaboratively with department colleagues on a daily basis and in regular departmental, area, and all-school meetings. Additional responsibilities include advising students, traveling with classes on school trips, and continuing professional development.
