Many Mansions, a non-profit that develops and provides quality affordable housing and life-enriching services for low income individuals and families in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties, is seeking a Vice President of Resource Development. This position will oversee and exercise broad management and supervisorial responsibilities over the organization’s Resource Development Division (‘Division’). This includes responsibility over all policies, staffing, programs, budgeting, reporting, and other activities related to that Division.
The Resource Development Division is responsible for, among other things, all donor solicitation (e.g. general, major gifts, planned giving, and in-kind giving), grants (private and governmental), public and community relations, special events, and volunteer management. With Many Mansions’ expansion into Los Angeles County, the ideal candidate must have experience in both counties, understanding the differences and opportunities that each represent.
The Vice President is a key member of the senior management team, must be a responsible and responsive business manager, and must promote the organization’s vision, mission, goals, and objectives. The Vice President works closely with the President, the Executive Vice President, the Many Mansions Board of Director, and the other Divisions. The Vice President is one of the organization’s primary spokesperson and representative.
The preferred candidate has substantial education and managerial experience in nonprofit affordable housing. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a four-year college or university; • Five years’ work experience in such areas as fundraising, including major gift solicitation, grants, special events, public relations, volunteer management, and other related activities; and • Two years in management in a supervisory role.

By providing decent housing and life-enriching services to those most in need, we aim to break the cycle of poverty and remove the barriers that prevent members of our community from having a basic need met—a roof over their head.
We own and manage over 500 units of affordable housing, serve approximately 1,200 adults and 300 children, provide on-site services and programs that include job training, case management, homework tutoring, a teen club, and much more.
