The Site Manager is responsible for the implementation Gads Hill Center’s center-based early childhood programming at the Brighton Park site. In this role, the Site Manager oversees the implementation of program curricula, ensures adherence to the program model and funder requirements, and provides supervision and guidance to the teachers and Family Support Workers. The Site Manager also maintains the quality of program services and ensures that children, youth and families receive comprehensive education and support services. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises, coaches, and evaluates teaching staff and Family Support Workers.
Serves as site leader and maintains effective operation of Children’s Services programs.
Collaborates with the Operations Coordinator to ensure that facility issues are reported and resolved in a timely manner.
Ensures that the site maintains all safety standards, such as emergency drills, at the appropriate intervals.
Maintains compliance with DCFS licensing standards at all times.
Provides guidance on problem solving, classroom management and curriculum implementation to teachers on a daily basis.
Schedules and facilitates monthly site and team meetings, as appropriate.
Program Monitoring and Management
Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with community members, stakeholders, and families served.
Collaborates with partners to develop an effective referral structure for all programs.
Assists with the preparation of the program budget and monitors monthly expenditures.
Adheres to agency’s internal review process to ensure compliance with program requirements.
Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship with the parents and communities that we serve, including participating in agency and site outreach, recruitment and civic engagement efforts.
Supports parent engagement efforts, including but not limited to parent meetings, parent policy committee meetings and advocacy efforts.
Demonstrates a proficient knowledge of the social emotional needs of children, age 0-5.
Ensures ongoing recruitment and enrollment of eligible children for various funding sources.
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of age 0-5 disability requirements and implements them in all aspects of the work to maintain program quality and compliance.
Conducts and documents formal observations in staff’s usual work setting and provides written and verbal feedback.
Collects and manages key metrics of program outcomes and activities to track effectiveness.
Prepares reports providing analysis on the outcomes and implications of the data to the families we serve.
Ensures and documents the delivery of training and technical assistance according to needs identified in individual professional development plans, performance evaluations, team meetings, and observations.
Collaborates with other children’s services leaders to plan and coordinate professional development.
Together with the Director of Children’s Programs represents center-based programming at appropriate monitoring visits and program audits.
Works with Family Support Workers and Education/Disabilities Manager on the referral process and assists in advocating for services for referred children.
Provides regular written and oral reports on program as assigned, by designated timelines.
Participates in meetings of Children’s Services leadership to resolve problems and assist in determining the strategic direction of Children’s Services.
Participates in agency outreach and recruitment events, including evenings and weekends.
Participates in supervision meetings and workshops within the agency and outside (if applicable).

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (average child’s weight).
Bilingual Spanish/English highly preferred.
Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood or a related field and a Director’s Gateway level 1 credential required. Masters in Early Childhood Education preferred.
At least three years in a progressively responsible position in a Head Start, Early Head, Preschool for All and Prevention Initiative funded agency is required. Previous managerial experience in Head Start/Early Head Start programs and monitoring experience preferred.
Must have a valid Driver’s License and be willing to travel locally.
Experience with multicultural programming preferred.
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Ability to pass a criminal record and child abuse/neglect registry check.
Work well under pressure and adhere to strict timelines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and willingness to develop additional skills as needed.
A passion for the mission of Gads Hill Center.
Experience in a nonprofit environment preferred.
Entry Salary Range: $45,000 - $47,500
