This position promotes the mission, vision, values and strategic plan of Easterseals and achieves the strategic goals and objectives of the unit. The Grants Manager is responsible for work assigned to this role and supervision of Financial Analyst. Duties include program budget development, funder reporting and program support including analysis of budget/actual variances and dissemination of information to program management, funding bodies and the Controller. Perform analyses and provide information to the Controller as requested. Interface with funding bodies, auditors and other regulatory bodies as required.
Prepares individual program budgets and amendments as needed and unit budgets annually.
Prepare financial reports for dissemination to funders and program management.
Serves as financial liaison to funding bodies regarding cash management and contract issues.
Review funding contracts and monitors fiscal compliance with same.
Prepare fiscal projections at the request of program managers or senior leadership.
Prepare schedules and work papers as required for audits.
Achieve results that support and contribute to the accomplishments of the strategic plan of the organization and the Finance Department.
Monitor compliance with Finance Department and Agency policies and procedures and recommend revisions as appropriate.
Adhere to established quality and performance improvement standards.
Provide input on management/supervisory issues, support and implement management decisions.
Assure grant unit adherence to rules and regulations, not limited to the 2 CFR 200 and GATA, Grants Accountability and Transparency Act.
Make effective and timely decisions, even when data is limited, or solutions produce unpleasant consequences.
Give performance reviews on time and take an active role in the development of subordinates.
Organize work, establish priorities, make proper assignments of human resources, and efficiently allocate resources.
Work effectively with others to accomplish goals/resolve problems.
Ensure customer satisfaction through process of monitoring, developing, improving, and delivering excellent services.

Perform other duties as assigned.
BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
Master’s degree or CPA licensure preferred.
Five years progressive management experience in a nonprofit organization.
Must have good working knowledge of general ledger software (generic), as well as Excel, Microsoft Word, Access, Power Point.
Extensive knowledge of Sage/MIP software required.
Strong knowledge of audit, finance, budgeting, purchasing, business operations and nonprofit industry.
