St. Dominic Hospital, a nonprofit, faith based hospital in Jackson, Mississippi, has partnered with Witt/Kieffer in the recruitment of a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
St. Dominic Hospital is a 571-bed tertiary care hospital that serves all of central Mississippi. The organization employs approximately 3,000, including more than 1,200 nurses. As one of the most comprehensive hospitals in Mississippi, St. Dominic's provides the most advanced technology available and a team of caregivers committed to meeting patient needs. Specialty services provided by St. Dominic's include the following: cardiovascular, neurosciences, orthopedics, oncology services, women's services, behavioral health services, and advanced surgical services.
Reporting directly to the Chief Clinical Officer, the CNO will be an inspirational and engaging leader responsible for providing operational and strategic leadership for patient care services. The CNO will champion initiatives to advance care and quality outcomes across St. Dominic's. He/she will develop strategies to recruit and retain nursing staff at all levels and support professional development opportunities to promote lifelong learning throughout the nursing organization. The CNO will partner closely with the Chief Clinical Officer, physician leaders, and the medical staff to promote a culture of collaboration and mutual respect between the nursing administration and medical staff.
Candidates must be Master's prepared and have a minimum of ten years of progressive leadership experience with a clinical focus. Candidates should have a strong record of success in partnering with medical staff, recruiting and retaining nursing staff, and advancing care and quality outcomes.
