The Center for Law and Social Work is a growing nonprofit child welfare agency, and seeking a Program Director with at least 10 years of clinical supervisory experience.
This is a position for someone with extensive child welfare experience in the State of Illinois. The Center is especially interested in a candidate whose experience includes working with DCFS, or who has worked within a role that required the candidate to develop a firm understanding of Illinois child welfare procedures and practices.
The Program Director will provide leadership and day-to-day oversight for the Center’s three main programs. Essential duties include supervising the respective supervisors, monitoring team performance within programs, supervising program locations, developing and fostering relationships with partner supervisors, and overseeing outreach efforts to grow programs.
The Program Director will work primarily from the Center’s two Chicago offices, but will be expected to travel to the Springfield office 2 to 4 times a month. The candidate must be comfortable driving long distances, and have a valid driver’s license and car insurance.

Strong leadership skills
An ability to manage their time effectively
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience with adoption, foster care, juvenile court, and counseling
Medical, dental, and vision insurance available

Additional 10 bonus days for observed state and federal holidays
Child Welfare experience – at least 12 years
Supervisory experience – at least 10 years
DCFS experience – at least 5 years
Master’s Degree – MSW, AM, or comparable
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
Willingness to travel for work – expected to travel to Springfield 2 to 4 times a month
