The Regional Director (RD) shall report to the Vice President of Person-Centered Services (VPPS) at Good Shepherd Fund (GSF) and shall be responsible for overseeing the quality and standards of care the organization provides to its clients within the designated region. The Rocky Mountain Regional Director shall work out of the GSF Field Office in Denver, Colorado. In certain circumstances, the RD may be personally named on legal documents and court orders as the agent of record representing Good Shepherd Fund, depending on the laws of the state in which the client resides. The activities of the RD are covered under GSF’s insurance policies.
The RD is equal in rank to the Field Office General Manager (GM), who oversees administrative support and office logistics. It is expected that the RD and GM work as a team and delegate duties according to function; care management should fall to the RD and administrative functions fall to the GM.
The detailed job description of the Regional Director follows:
The responsible, ethical oversight of client care, according to the client’s unique relationship to GSF.
To be a practitioner of the National Guardianship Association’s standards of practice.
To be an adherent to GSF’s policies and procedures.
To engage referral sources and referred clients with information on GSF services in an efficient and timely manner.
To engage referred clients and facilitate a timely and professional intake assessment.
To make determinations as to which clients the organization will agree to serve.
To interface with and help coordinate supports among the client’s interested stakeholders, be it other professionals and organizations in the community as well as friends and family dear to the beneficiary.
Attend meetings and report to oversight committees, court of jurisdiction, or other professionals on the client’s multi-disciplinary team in a timely and professional manner.
Build rapport with other service providers, attorneys, nonprofit organizations and industry contractors to grow and enhance the reputation of GSF.
Quality Control and Oversight
To participate in the development of care managers working within the region.
To supervise and oversee care functions provided by the care managers.
To assure reports and time logs are completed and submitted per GSF policy
The RD will draft and submit professional reports to the court, attorney of record, or other professionals as the need arises.
To work with the GM in the development and implementation of systems of operational efficiency (e.g. on-call rotation, caseload assignment, staff meetings and communication, etc.)
Report regional activity to the VPPS on a regular and ongoing basis
Strategic Plan Implementation
GSF’s strategic plans are developed by the executive team under the governance of the Board of Trustees. The RD is expected to work with the GM, VPPS and COO to develop and implement a strategic regional plan that both aligns with and strengthens the overall organization. The RD will be responsible for setting goals and benchmarks within the person-centered care arena of the region, and report the metrics identified in the process.
Compensation & Benefits:
$65,000 to $75,000 per year, Salary, Non-Exempt.

Minimum educational requirement is a master’s degree in social work or a related discipline (must complete within 6 months of hire)
Prefer 5+ years of working experience as a social worker or related discipline
Experience working in a medical setting a plus
Experience with public benefits (SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, HUD, etc.) a plus
National Certified Guardian through the Center for Guardianship Certification a plus and can be obtain post-hire
Experience working in Microsoft Outlook systems a plus
