PROJECT OVERVIEW: DATA ALLIANCES
The Cascadia region has a unique mix of research, health care, and technology organizations that, by working together, can greatly enhance the impact of data and data science in health care and biomedical research by establishing a common commitment to facilitate data-intensive research and development. The Data Alliances Team within the Hutch Data Commonwealth is building towardthis vision through establishing a new multi-organizational coalition working to foster the development of a robust regional data ecosystem through collective approaches to data governance and implementation of common technology platforms.
The Data Alliances Project Coordinator sits within the Administrative Services Team of the Office of the Chief Data Officer at Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center. This position is a comprised of 3 core areas of focus:
Provide end-to-end project support for the Data Alliances Team
Coordinate activities across the various organizations involved with the Data Alliances Team
Provide administrative support to the Data Alliance Team and Administrative Manager to the Vice President and Chief Data Officer (2 Directors + 1 Manager)
Under minimal supervision, the Data Alliances Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day project operations of the Data Alliances Team are well coordinated, managed, and that processes are clearly communicated and documented. This position is expected perform all tasks with great attention to detail, creative problem solving and nimble decision making. The Project Coordinator serves as primary administrative contact and liaison with external data partners and therefore has an important impact on the research and innovation sectors in our community. The Coordinator will be expected to think boldly about the development of a robust regional data ecosystem through collective approaches to data governance and implementation of common technology platforms.

This administrative position in salaried, exempt and reports to the Administrative Manager to Vice President and Chief Data Officer, Office of the CDO.
