We are currently seeking a Full Time Manager, Donor Center I to join the LifeNet Health team in our Virginia Beach, VA location on a 9a-5p shift with call.
As Manager, Donor Center, you would provide leadership for the 24/7 Donor (call) Center operations. Manage Donor Center operations, aligning resources to achieve corporate goals and objectives. Manage all operational aspects of tissue donor screening, authorization and logistics for clinical and research donors. Monitor DC safety, quality, and performance metrics. Establish and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Implement and monitor effective training programs to drive performance improvement. Demonstrate commitment to corporate mission, values and attributes.
You would be expected to perform all tasks assigned to you, including but not limited to:
- Manages direct reports and the activities of the Donor Center as related to the screening of potential tissue donors for both clinical and research use.
- Manages and develops the training plans and ongoing professional development goals for new and existing employees. Executes strategic plans that guide all aspects of the Donor Center Operations.
- Cultivates a programmatic approach to achieving optimal authorization rates
- Interfaces with Tissue Recovery, Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) Clinical Services, Donor Development, and Hospital Services to establish and maintain effective local tissue recovery programs.
- Partners with Tissue Development in initiatives that effect external OPO clients such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) development, tissue donor screening, and/or sharing best practices
- Works closely with Quality Assurance and Quality Systems departments to ensure proper compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and statutes.
- Executes emergency disaster plans relating to the Donor Center to ensure business continuity.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Certified Tissue Banking Specialist or must be obtained within 2 years of employment
- 5 years previous team lead, supervisor, and/or management experience
- 2 years previous experience in a tissue donation and procurement or related field to include organ procurement, blood donation, research donation, eye donation or crisis support call center environments
