Position: The Early Childhood Nursery Lead Teacher is an integral part of the school’s faculty. Under the guidance of the department’s Chair and among EC colleagues, the EC Lead Teacher is responsible for collaboratively cultivating and leading the pedagogical practices with the children. The Lead Teacher carries the classroom, children and parent work with the assistance of an Assistant EC Teacher in each mixed-age nursery classroom. Applying the pedagogical principles of Waldorf education, the teacher is responsible for designing and holding the programs and activities on a day-to-day basis creating a healthy, daily and weekly rhythm as well as consciously implementing a yearly curriculum that acknowledges the year’s seasons and festival life.
