The Operations Manager will work under the direction of the Executive Director and is responsible for managing a wide and vital array of daily, weekly and monthly operations tasks. This position will work directly with the Executive Director and clergy on planning, budgeting, fundraising, member relations, and project development to reach the organization’s goals and best serve congregational needs.
The position supports the organization by managing the marketing, administrative, and financial systems support of the congregation. A successful candidate will be tech-savvy, independent, detail oriented, with great initiative and a keen ability to quickly apply current skills and adapt and learn new skills, systems and disciplines. As a liaison to the Executive Director, the Operations Manager should be able to participate in a strong teamwork culture and effectively translate the organizational vision into operational practice. This is a developmental role for those interested in temple administration and nonprofit general management careers.
The Operations Manager key responsibilities:
Maintaining website and social media accounts - creating/updating content
Manage member communications
Support member and financial database, and assure the flow of information to bookkeeping resource
Manage/Support the Family Education Program
Manage congregational events calendar and promotion

Duties & Responsibilities
An ideal candidate is one who is well aligned with the mission of Congregation Sukkat Shalom and is embracing of its members. Also, candidates should have the following skills/experiences
Bachelor’s Degree Required
2-yrs of experience working in a nonprofit organization
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, & Outlook); experience with enterprise management systems a plus
Prior experience developing social media content for professional use
Experience producing financial reports and managing budget goals
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
