DB&A Executive Search & Recruitment is pleased to announce the search for the next VP for Mission Advancement for Children At Heart Ministries (CAHM). CAHM is a family of Christian ministries that began in 1950, when Louis & Billie Sue Henna of Round Rock, Texas, donated the land and first five buildings to the Baptist General Convention of Texas to establish the Texas Baptist Children’s Home to serve dependent and neglected children. Over the years, as the needs of families and children have changed, so too has the family of ministries evolved to meet those needs. Today there are four distinct 501(c)3 organizations that exist, Gracewood, Miracle Farm, STARRY, and Texas Baptist Children’s Home all of which operate under the CAHM brand. CAHM is whole heartedly committed to honoring God and building a better world by serving children and strengthening families.
The VP for Mission Advancement ensures that the entire family of ministries are positioned to keep pace with the increasing needs of their beneficiaries into the future. In doing so, the VP for Mission Advancement leads a current team of 15 development and marketing staff and a growing charitable income budget close to $5.5 million. As such, this leader will be an integral part of a highly skilled, passionate and committed executive management team, all called and serving together. The VP for Mission Advancement will not only lead a team of fundraising and marketing staff at CAHM’s headquarters in Round Rock, but he or she will provide oversight and direction to the small development teams that serve uniquely at each of the affiliate ministries. This position will be an exceptional opportunity for a veteran development professional seeking to create a culture of philanthropy, influence and shape a sustainable fundraising program, work directly with high capacity donors, shape the brand and marketing messaging, supervise staff, and have a voice regarding direct ministry impact.
