The Human Resources department at Fred Hutch is a collaborative, dynamic, supportive, and multidisciplinary team. Right now, we are looking for an experienced Leave of Absence Analyst, to join our busy team. Our ideal candidate will have a solid HR background and the ability to deal with a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
This position will work closely with members of the HR team and employees and managers outside of Human Resources. Reporting to the Leave and Accommodation Program Manager, this position will be responsible for the administration of all state/federal and internal leave programs to include advising supervisors, interpreting policy, interviewing, and counseling employees. Daily work assignments are performed independently. Requires discretion and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive and confidential information. Consults with the Leave and Accommodation Manager and Employment Counsel as necessary to ensure the fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
Must have the ability to critically think through ambiguous situations, and collaborate with subject matter experts to develop appropriate solutions. Routinely collaborates and supports fellow HR team members. Maintain current and complete understanding of Federal and State laws including case law and regulations such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, and state laws. Performs other duties as assigned.
