VCU Development and Alumni Relations seeks a Director of Corporate Relations responsible for leading efforts to enhance and increase philanthropic engagement across the health sciences. This position will build and coordinate industry philanthropy programs on the Medical College of Virginia Campus of VCU, in partnership with units of VCU Health and the MCV Foundation. In addition to managing a corporate portfolio, this position will serve as primary liaison between the corporate community and the university by facilitating access to VCU’s academic, clinical, and research resources.

Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and the following experience and skills are encouraged to apply:
Previous experience in a fundraising position, preferably at an institution of higher education or nonprofit
Experience in corporate and foundation relations or developing industry partnerships
Ability to write, edit, and develop communications for diverse audiences
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous, detailed projects and to prioritize competing priorities to complete work on time
Expertise in outcomes, measurement, business analysis, and strategic planning
Well-developed interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with a strong customer service orientation
Ability to work independently with initiative and independent judgment as well as the ability to work cooperatively as part of a team and experience interacting with diverse stakeholders in an inclusive community
