As a member of the UCM senior management team, ensure streamlined activities within the department based on the priorities of the University and vice president for University Marketing and Communications. This will include fostering opportunities for improved collaboration, communication and professional growth within department and around campus. Lead implementation efforts of UCM strategic goals in support of University Goals, focusing primarily on development of UCM strategic communication plan. Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies to advance University brand, along with major University priorities and initiatives with the Office of the President.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Minimum 9 years of editorial supervision, project and staff management. Considerable experience in higher education / nonprofit marketing communications. Excellent oral and written communications skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with others. Excellent organizational, service and analytical skills.
Experience managing a creative team and working with multiple clients.
