Samaritan Counseling Center is a nonprofit, interfaith counseling center that has been serving Northern Cook County and Southern Lake County for 49 years. We are currently seeking Licensed Clinical Therapists to join our highly qualified team providing individual, group, couples and family counseling. Therapists who have an interest and experience in integrating spirituality into the counseling process are preferred. Other niche areas such as men's issues, grief issues, recovery, and work with children and/adolescents are highly valued. Candidates are expected to be enthusiastic about participation in marketing activities to grow their referral base. In addition, the Center provides general referrals from a central intake line.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s or Doctoral Degree in counseling, pastoral counseling, psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy or equivalent.
Clinical training and experience, validated by independent licensure by the State of Illinois in psychology, professional counseling, marriage and family therapy, and/or clinical social work. (Licensed Clinical Psychologist, LCPC, LMFT, LCSW).
Training and/or experience in the integration of spirituality and psychotherapy. Demonstrated ability to help clients work with spirituality issues while respecting the client’s belief system.
Demonstrated ability to cultivate a caseload.
