The Director of Member Sales and Retention will provide leadership and coordination of TRA sales, hiring and managing of membership. This candidate will oversee marketing functions, develop sales and marketing strategies, monitor/analyze sales and marketing activity against goals.

Direct and coordinate TRA membership sales and retention functions
Hire train and manage sales and admin support staff
Sales management, to include
Maximizing the sales and retention productivity tools in iMIS database, TRA website, and marketing campaigns
Performance to all sales development and monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals
Sales team training, coaching, development, and evaluations
Set quantifiable membership sales and retention goals with each Metro Executive Director and set accountability levels with each.
Produce and manage membership sales and retention staff budgets, and oversee the development and management of internal operating budget.
Work with National organization to facilitate and maximize sales potential through dual member contract
Collaborate with marketing department on data management program and enhanced member communication piece through online and other membership-related campaigns/automated marketing program
Develop programs and content delivery methods to enhance member engagement
Align with TRA staff and committee members to develop TRA’s brand, both to industry as well as to the general public.
Align the brand messaging to all membership sales and retention efforts, and work with sales/retention staff to execute a consistent message to all of TRA’s constituents.
Coordinate with marketing/communications department to develop sales materials and promotion programs.
Develop and maximize potential for all member benefits programs and alliances
Bachelor’s degree preferred;
Experience in or an understanding of the hospitality/restaurant industry;
Experience in association management, preferably in association membership sales and retention;
Exceptional communication and public relations abilities, both written and verbal;
Demonstrated Sales and customer relations skills
Ability to work independently while maintaining a positive, team player attitude
Ability to self-manage priorities, work within a plan and produce results on a consistent basis;
Working knowledge of database management/experience with iMIS is ideal;
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Flexible and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal skills.
