The Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center (HPCC), a national organization located in Pittsburgh, serving nurses and other healthcare professionals, is seeking Director of Credentialing. This energetic and customer-oriented person will direct the administration, operations, and program development of the credentialing organization. As HPCC’s Director of Credentialing you will: •Provide direction and oversight of multiple credentialing programs in accordance with accreditation standards. •Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer, Exam Development Committees and exam development vendors to develop and maintain all initial and recertification programs. •Implement strategies identified in the organization's strategic plan. •Contribute to the long-term planning process for strategic initiatives related to credentialing. •Supervise staff responsible for the process and requirements for maintaining accreditation for examinations. •Represent HPCC with appropriate related professional and trade organizations and service providers. •Manage budget related to credentialing programs and services. •Develop materials and services to help constituents understand the certification and recertification processes. •Guide and mentor staff providing customer support. •Develop initiatives to support the value of certification and communications to increase awareness. •Maintain compliance with accreditation standards.

Requirements •Knowledge and experience in the business of certification •Knowledge and experience in palliative care nursing •Strong written and verbal communication skills •Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously •Strong organizational skills •Comfort with technology and online applications •Knowledge and experience in the development and management of budgets •Experience in nonprofit management •Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or other accredited functional specialty •Master’s degree in nursing with current license to practice as a registered nurse/advanced practice registered nurse preferred •Credentialed as a CHPN® or ACHPN® preferred; or Master’s degree in related field and credentialed within that area |
