PROJECTMANAGER: OVERVIEW Marketing and Communication is seeking an experienced, highly-motivated project manager to support our strategic marketing and communication goals and plan across multiple platforms and touchpoints including: website and digital/social media, advertising and public relations, branded partnerships and events, recruitment collateral and admission events and communications, and campus experience and activation.
The project manager will be responsible for a complex and varied portfolio of campaigns and associated web, print, and digital deliverables, working closely with academic and administrative collaborators to support the university's mission, vision, and strategic goals.
The position reports to the Senior Director of Marketing Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as primary liaison and first point of contact within Marketing and Communication for assigned partners/collaborators. Meet regularly to understand goals and strategy, and to and consult on, plan, and prioritize marketing needs.
Lead and manage complex and varied portfolio of creative projects (web, print, digital, video, etc.) that comprise integrated campaigns. Ensure that projects are aligned with university mission, vision, and strategic goals, as well as strategic campaign briefs.
Write and disseminate creative briefs, create practical and detailed project plans and timelines, track tasks and deadlines, schedule and facilitate meetings, and manage project budgets.
Develop and gain agreement on roles and responsibilities using the RASCI model. Establish and manage project inputs and approval chain.
Coordinate the efforts of project teams including project stakeholders, creative and digital staff, university administrative staff, and external contractors.
Use project management systems and software to track and manage projects. Regularly assess portfolio and prioritize work.
Provide timely, clear, and thorough communications and status reporting throughout project life cycle, including management reporting.
Accountable for projects delivered on time, on budget, and on brief.
Remain on the forefront of emerging industry practices.
Bachelor's degree required.
3-5 years project management experience or related experience. PMP certification a plus
Experience managing web development, print publication, advertising, and/or digital media projects
Background in nonprofit, communications, marketing, or academia preferred, however candidates from other industries with applicable skills will be considered.
