Envisioned strategic fundraising activities include, among others, annual giving, major gifts, corporate gifts, planned giving, capital campaign, grant writing, and event planning.
The successful candidate will be a talented, seasoned, innovative, independent, highly motivated, performance-oriented and results-driven development professional with a proven track record of having successfully created and implemented such comprehensive development strategic and tactical plans for similar organizations while working alongside other executive and board leadership to establish an overarching culture of development and fundraising. About Wellspring Community
At Wellspring, we are committed to giving adults with developmental disabilities and other special needs the opportunity to experience full and satisfying lives. We do this by offering a wide variety of learning experiences in a safe, supervised and nurturing environment and providing the support and modifications necessary to enable them to be successful. As such, we call the folks that we serve STARS – Specially Talented Adults Raising Standards.
Our Mission is to provide educational, enrichment and business enterprise opportunities to adults with special needs such that they are empowered to live full, productive and satisfying lives in a God-centered and spiritually nourishing environment. We strive to continue to be innovators in the field, having conceived, designed and executed a brand new delivery model of services to the adult I/DD community.
We have begun to fulfill our Mission by establishing several specially modified business enterprises where adults with developmental disabilities are engaged in meaningful, creative and productive business enterprise experience. Wellspring Bakery & Café, where staff and volunteers work alongside our STARS, train them in bak...ing, hosting and serving. Staff and volunteers likewise train our STARS to create beautiful ceramic and woodcrafts in our Artbeat Studio and to plant, cultivate and harvest living things in our community gardens. Our innovative Programming offers on-going life skills training and enrichment opportunities – our business enterprises plus classes in dance, fitness, music, technology and so much more -- so as to empower our STARS to develop to their full potential.
Our Vision is to dramatically scale our organization and offerings so as to empower and spiritually nourish many more STARS. In 2019, we plan to launch new satellite locations that perpetuate the spirit of Wellspring beyond our immediate Castle Rock community. Longer term, we plan to explore offering our innovative programming virtually across the State (for those who cannot travel to our brick & mortar locations), across the nation, and perhaps even across the globe. Likewise, in the future, we hope to be able to begin to meet a small fraction of the overwhelming need for safe, supportive and affordable housing opportunities for our STARS.
