Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Services, this position is responsible for exercising sound professional decision making in the management and processing of all financial aid applications and awards for CTY in compliance with PPI and data integrity guidelines.
This position has the direct authority to make, prepare and communicate financial aid commitments to student aid population on behalf of CTY.
Evaluates financial aid applications to determine eligibility using federal and institutional methodologies.
Interacts daily with parents/families via phone, email and various written communications
Assists the Director of Enrollment Services with managing the financial aid budget by preparing reports and data analysis
Coordinates with Director of Enrollment and Senior Leadership to prepare appropriate policies and procedures, as well as related enrollment initiatives
Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the financial aid award process
Manages departmental and cross functional technology and process improvement process.
Develops and delivers regular communications and training for staff
Organizes projects with various cross functional administrative and academic teams.

Bachelor’s degree with 1 year related experience including a comprehensive understanding of financial aid populations and best practices.
Three or more years of related experience preferred.
Experience implementing and managing financial aid and/or student information systems is highly desirable.
Master’s degree preferred.
Required Special Skills and Knowledge:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Superb organization and planning skills.
Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem solving abilities.
Strong knowledge of federal state and local laws pertaining to student privacy, such as FERPA and HIPPA.
Knowledge of k – 12 education policies and procedures pertaining to student records and working with children.
Physical Requirements for the Job:
Ability to sit in a normal seated position for extended periods of time.
Occasional movement about the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, various workstations, etc. including movement from floor to floor using elevators and stairs.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine and printer. Dexterity of hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse pad and other office machinery.
The incumbent will be required to communicate regularly via telephone and face to face with internal and external customers and must be able to exchange accurate and timely information in these settings.
Frequent communication with internal and external customers and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations verbally and in writing.
Position also requires a degree of mobility common to working in an office environment; bending, kneeling or standing during events and presentations may be required.
