For almost 90 years, the CFADA has been serving franchised new car dealers across Central Florida. As the automotive industry grows, so does the need for STEM qualified technicians to maintain and service the vehicles our members offer. To supply the demand for qualified technicians, we are looking for a campus recruiter to build awareness about the profession and identify candidates for the automotive technology training programs offered at our local colleges. In this position, you will be responsible for visiting middle schools, high schools, colleges, after-school programs, vocational schools, clubs, summer camps, and other venues where recruiting opportunities exist. You will build a network of local education leaders, educators, professionals, community members, and parents to introduce them to the automotive industry and answer questions about the industry, educational requirements, certifications, and career opportunities.
We are looking for a professional who is a team player and a good communicator. You have to be comfortable with public speaking and enjoy spending time with students. You must be able to build excitement about the automotive field and sell the vision. In this role, you will identify qualified candidates and connect them with the college program that is able to meet their needs. You will serve as a mentor through the initial college enrollment process and help identify initial sources of financial aid.
A High School Degree, but prefer some college courses Business, Engineering or related field and 1 year of professional experience. Have a good understanding of the automotive industry or be willing to learn. Knowledge of the use of personal computers, software programs such, as customer/candidate tracking platforms, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; and minor office machines such as faxes and copiers.

The Central Florida Auto Dealers Association (CFADA) was chartered in 1929 and is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(6), automotive trade association located in the CFADA Professional Automotive Training Center on the Seminole State College, Sanford/Lake Mary campus. At the present time, over 100 new-franchise dealer members (dealerships) are located in nine Central Florida counties. Associate members are the media, financial institutions and automotive related businesses.
