ACG Boston is looking for a part time Membership and Events Coordinator to join our 3 person team! (between 20-25 hrs/wk) In this role, you will manage membership activities for the chapter, and support the Events Manager and Executive Director. Ideal candidate will be customer service focused, have exceptional attention to detail and database management skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Work closely with membership committee to define committee goals & objectives and facilitate volunteer activity
Process membership transactions & provide customer support for member questions and requests.
Support membership recruitment & retention activities
Assist Events Manager with event preparation, including registration & payment processing, running lists and reports pre and post event, badge preparation, setup onsite, etc.
Coordinate all office functions (ordering supplies, dealing with vendors, etc) and provide general support to Executive Director & Events Manager.
Provide support for marketing functions, including printing handouts, editing, ordering supplies, etc.
Associates degree or equivalent work experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
A quick learner who is comfortable with computers & has superior customer service skills.
Experience supporting multiple staff and clients/customers in a corporate environment. Experience working with senior level clientele or pervious association work a plus.
2+ years experience with database management using AMS (Avectra/NetForum preferred) or similar.
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office software suite required. Experience with Quickbooks or financial/accounting support a plus.
Strong organizing and planning skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously. Event experience preferred.
Must be dependable, flexible, and willing to work some early mornings and late evening events (majority take place in or around Boston area)
Strong team orientation, both internal and external, with the ability to manage expectations regardless of reporting relationships
Knowledge or experience in private equity, M&A or related fields a plus.
Sense of humor a must
