The Public Health Law Center, a dynamic, public interest affiliate of Mitchell Hamline School of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota has an immediate opening for a full-time Interactive Designer/Digital Producer.
The Public Health Law Center helps make America’s communities places where everyone can be healthy. The Center empowers its partners to reduce and eliminate commercial tobacco, promote healthy food, and support physical activity. The Interactive Designer/Digital Producer supports the communications functions of the Public Health Law Center by maximizing the use of Internet-related technologies and tools. This position will focus on the creation of web-based communications tools, web site management and digital content management. The Interactive Designer/Digital Producer will work with a variety of colleagues to articulate and promote the Center’s mission-driven public health work.
Bachelor's degree in a related field such as computer science, design or other. (Additional years of experience may be substituted for the degree.)
One to three years of professional web development experience.
Competency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) and MS Office.
Experience working with content management systems (CMS).
Ability to work collaboratively with many different stakeholders.
Pro-active, organized and detailed-orientated, with the ability to multi-task and work effectively under deadlines.
A commitment to continued learning on issues related to racial and social justice, including the social determinants of health, implicit bias, and systemic oppression.
Experience with Drupal.
Design capability and understanding of typography, color and layout.
Public Health, health, legal, academic or nonprofit experience.
