ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT II , Sloan School of Management , to provide a high level of support for and help advance the goals of the Alumni Relations team and provide essential support to its director. Will support and anticipate the needs of a fast-paced team within a complex organization. Will assist the MIT Sloan Alumni Board, including board call and meeting logistics; manage reunion-related data in support of the reunion team and manage a series of student-alumni on-campus engagement events; and provide reporting, logistical support, administrative support, and superior customer service to Sloan alumni. Support for the Alumni Relations team will include managing data requests, administrative support including emails, and coding volunteers and attendees; acting as the primary point of contact for general inquires and requests made in the office; managing the Alumni Relations budget; and updating Alumni Relations team events on the website.
REQUIRED : three years of related administrative support experience; proficiency with alumni databases, and standard PC applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint; strong organizational, interpersonal, customer service, and written and verbal communication skills; ability to set goals and priorities, demonstrate initiative, and pay close attention to detail. Experience working with volunteers would be a plus. Experience in a university, professional school, or large nonprofit organization is strongly preferred. A bachelor's degree is also preferred.
