Title: Education Director
Purpose: To assist with the delivery of quality training, education, and professional development programs.
Supervision: Reports to Executive Vice President
Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedules classes, seminars, and brown bag lunches
Provides administrative support to the Education Committee
Coordinates all activities associated with BIM, The Basics, and Lean Construction
Helps to support the ACE Mentor Program, the Construction Careers Academy, and the Construction Science and Management program at UTSA
Sells AIA documents and promotes ConsensusDocs
Accepts phone registrations for educational events
Sells products and publications, including Bonds and Liens on Construction Work in Texas
Stays informed by subscribing to relevant forums and newsletters
Directs building maintenance activities, including pest control, janitorial service, and mechanical repairs
Assists with the construction industry awards programs
Assists with the Safety Fair (a Saturday event)
Affiliates with relevant industry organizations such as AIA, ACEC, and SMPS
Maintains Twitter account and communicates regularly about AGC education programs
Attends occasional staff meetings
Helps answer the phone
Minimal Requirements: Four Year Degree. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software. Helpful and courteous attitude.
